Steven K. Aurand
Chairman and CEO

Researcher and statistician Steven K. Aurand founded CAP Index in 1988. He and noted Criminology professor Dr. Robert M. Today, CAP Index is the leading source of crime risk information for businesses and government agencies throughout the U.S., U.K. and Canada. Clients regularly utilize CAP Index products and services to make decisions about security programs, property selection and effective resource allocation.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Music from Haverford College. Steve is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Statistical Association, American Sociological Association and American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
